![]() ![]() Watching Mav take over the roles of Viper and Jester had me all misty-eyed, and seeing him routinely best Rooster (Miles Teller), Hangman (Glen Powell), and Co. I really missed movies that use classic tropes without feeling the need to ironically call attention to them! Second place? Everyone’s faces when they realize that the guy they were calling old at the bar is their flight instructor. Gruttadaro: The first sequence-from Maverick pushing a jet to the limit against orders for one last ride, to him walking into a diner in a spacesuit-is pitch perfect. He might be part of a dying breed, but he’s going out with a (potentially literal) bang. Surrey: Any moment with Cruise in the cockpit is a sight to behold, especially knowing that he’s pulling real G’s in a fighter jet. Ress: If everyone says the final action sequence, there’s a good reason for that. Anyway, I dont want to get into a rabbit hole similar to people talking about hi res audio and other formats the general public is apathetic too.Make 25 Top Gun movies and I’ll see 25 Top Gun movies- Megan Schuster 2. ![]() Itunes movies seem to have hit the sweet spot, im really not seeing the advantage of a uhd disk except numbers and having something physical to hold. Im pretty confident apple will be around for a long time, but I know for sure a disk wont last forever. The other issue is you have no guarantee that your digital content will be there forever. We're talking 15 Mbit/s average (25 Mbit/s peak) vs. However, it looks like the bitrate is pretty low compared to an UHD disc. In a perfect world, would I prefer purely digital distribution? Assuming sufficiently high quality encodes with high bit rate video and audio, absolutely. I've seen great h.265 streams and I've seen one with visible dithering and colour gradients.
